Ladies' Preference!

Preference is a weekend of dances and other activities that BYUSA puts on where the girls ask the guys (like a Sadie Hawkins' dance). My friends and I decided to go to one of the dances on Friday night, which was Alice in Wonderland themed.

So we all started asking the boys.
Please ignore the fact that I look exhausted and my hair is a mess.

I asked my date in Portuguese, because he had just gotten his mission call the night before to Brazil. I stuck a sign under his door that said "Jake- [some portuguese stuff]" and on the other side it said "(That's Portuguese for will you go to Preference with me?) -Camden"

The next day I found this on my ceiling:

The back says: "(That's English for: [more portuguese] -Jake"

Other girls asked in much more creative ways than I did including with sticky notes, dump trucks, giant tennis balls, treasure hunts and buckets of ice. All of it was super fun (and we hadn't even gotten to the actual dance part yet).

This is our very large (and very attractive) group:

It's not the best picture, but you get the point right?

This is my date, Jake Langlois. And yes I am wearing my 4 inch heels.
He's on the volleyball team, and he's 6'10".

Hailey's date was also a very tall 6'7". We really enjoyed being able to wear heels and still look up to our dates, which was a very new experience for both of us.

At the actual dance, we had lots of fun taking pictures with all of the Wonderland themed stuff, and we got to play croquet too!
(We didn't actually play much actual croquet, we kinda just messed around with the balls and mallets)
And then there was lots of dancing of course!

Afterwards, our whole group went to a lobby of one of the dorms and ate the large amount of ice cream that Hailey, Chaychole and I bought at walmart the night before. We actually ended up buying a little too much.

(Please come eat some! We still have tons left!)

Definitely a very good night.

These are all the girls I'll be living with next year in The Elms!
I'm really excited.
